Rip Currents Into the Weekend With the Passage of Hurricane Katia

Rip currents are developing along New England beaches ahead of Hurricane Katia, and will continue through the upcoming weekend.  Beachgoers should use caution, remembering to swim parallel to the shore if caught in a rip current.  The highest threat will be found along south-facing shorelines.  Surfers will find an onshore wind keeping the surf from being all that clean until perhaps Friday and Saturday.  More information on Rip Currents:
