Severe Storms Knock Out Power to Thousands in Western Mass.

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, Holyoke, Mass.) - Thousands of people in New England woke up without power today, because of some severe storms that rolled in overnight.

High winds brought down trees and blocked many roads.

A state of emergency has been declared in the town of Greenfield. Winds brought down branches, power lines and damaged utility poles.

There are no reports of any serious injuries.
