Snow Emergency, Parking Ban Lifted in Boston

(NECN: Nelly Carreno) – Life is getting back to normal in Boston. The snow emergency and parking ban was lifted at 8:00 Wednesday morning.

Though there is a lingering light and fluffy snow in Boston, freezing conditions are still making travel conditions somewhat difficult.

About five inches of snow landed in Boston’s Back Bay.

Roads were much more dangerous around midnight, but crews have been working hard to clean up and salt. There is still a layer of ice under some of the snow.

People who took advantage of the reduced parking rate garages will need to move their vehicles by 10:00 a.m.
