Snow Falling Furiously in Manchester, Conn.

(NECN: Brian Burnell, Manchester, Conn.) - Snow began falling fast and furiously across the state of Connecticut early Wednesday morning and it's accumulating quickly.

Driving is treacherous and the morning commute will be rough. Over 800 trucks and plows are out battling the elements.

NECN reporter Brian Burnell has seen several drivers pull to the side of the road to clear ice from their windshield wipers.

Schools and universities are closed. Those who are not needed at work are encouraged to stay home and off the roads.
