Snow Storm Creates Messy Morning Commute

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan) - The timing of this storm means you can expect another messy and slow commute this morning.

In Worcester, Massachusetts, snow started sticking to road around 4 a.m. The speed limit on the Massachusetts Turnpike was lowered to 40 miles per hour.

By 5 a.m., police say they already had two weather-related accidents on the Pike. It's probably only going to get more slippery.

Caravans of plows, sand and talk trucks are trying to take care of everything, but as the morning commute continues, snow will begin to fall harder and harder.

Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick is urging non-essential state workers to have a delayed start. They don't have to be into work until 11 a.m.

Worcester Public Schools are closed.
