Snowstorm Hindering Air Travel at Boston's Logan Airport

(NECN) - Massachusetts Ports Authority officials are strongly advising those traveling to consult their airlines prior to heading out to Logan International Airport in Boston. Saturday's winter storm has caused many airlines to cancel flights.

Eastern Massachusetts will be hit the hardest by the storm. 10 to 14 inches of snow is expected to fall in total. Snow is predicted to fall at a rate of up to 4 inches per hour.

Logan's airport operator said most domestic airlines will be functioning at a limited rate. Most international flights are expected to operate.

Massport did not convey the actual number of flight cancellations for Saturday.
