Snowy, Whiteout Driving Conditions Around New England

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan) - In Bridgewater, Massachusetts, several power outages were already reported by around 5 a.m. It's slippery and dangerous in many areas, as several car accidents and spin-outs have been reported across Connecticut and Massachusetts.

The initially light, fluffy snow is falling on top of a layer of wetter, heavier snow, and accumulated around 7 inches in Bridgewater by early this morning.

If you can stay home this morning, that's your best option as driving conditions are disorienting and the wind is blowing snow onto the roadways. While around 3,900 plow teams are on the streets of Massachusetts and they're doing their job, in many cases the snow is falling too fast for them to keep up.

Snow is expected to continue falling heavily until around 7 to 8 a.m. this morning.
