(NECN: Brad Puffer, Warwick, RI) - So far, officials say more than 10,000 homeowners and roughly 1,500 Rhode Island businesses have applied for federal help in recovering from last week's flooding.
Many roads and bridges remain closed and cleanup continues in hard-hit areas, where floodwaters left behind a thick coat of mud.
