(NECN) – Meteorologist Matt Noyes
says it’s the most active time of the year for hurricane season. Noyes says
they are watching a group of thunderstorms.
The biggest story is tropical storm Katia with 60 mph winds. She is just southwest of the Cape Verde islands.
The National Hurricane Center predicts she will become a hurricane at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The course will be watched very carefully.
Noyes says there are good signals that the storm will curl north, but the question is when will that happen.
