Tracking the Tropics: Two Impressive Tropical Waves

Two impressive tropical waves are traversing the Atlantic Basin - one in the Caribbean, headed for Central America, and the other in the Eastern Atlantic.   The Caribbean wave shows excellent symmetry, and is in atmospheric conditions favorable for quick development, but the presence of some dry air has inhibited deep thunderstorm growth, and hurricane hunters confirmed Wednesday night that a closed circulation center still doesn't exist.  As such, my expectation of a potential quick intensification expressed last night is going to be incorrect if this thing doesn't ramp up very soon, as its quick westward motion is limiting how much time the wave has left over water.  Meanwhile, in the Eastern Atlantic, a strong tropical wave is likely to develop in the coming days, though an abundance of Saharan Air (dry) will make it a sluggish process.
