Twister Kills at Least 2 in Western Ohio

(NECN/WEWS: Sugar Creek, Ohio) - A possible tornado touchdown was reported in Northeast Ohio on Saturday, causing some damage and knocking out power for thousands of homes.  

That possible tornado touched down near Lucas, south of Mansfield, Saturday afternoon, destroying a barn. 

Other damage was reported in the Sugarcreek area, where the fire department said there was significant damage to several structures, including the Skyline Mobile Home manufacturing plant just north of the city.  

Meanwhile, The National Weather Service is reporting two deaths and severe damage in western Ohio as a result of at least one tornado.

According to the N-W-S, the two deaths happened in Wood County in the Lake Township area.

One was a woman who was killed in a car. No information has been released about the other victim.
