Wild Winds Wreak Havoc Across New England

(NECN: Ally Donnelly, ) - High winds whipping up across New England caused a great deal of damage on Thursday. Trees toppled over, power lines fell and fires were sparked because of the wild weather.

A downed transformer in Manchester, N.H. caused a brush fire that quickly spread to a nearby home. The home was severely damaged.

Several states across the region issued red flag warnings because of the wind.

In Billerica, Mass. a tree fall across a home and crushed a car.

First responders were active all day and will continue to be with the cleanup process. Several areas lost power.
