Winds, Brutal Cold Stay as High Tide Recedes in Sandwich, Mass.

(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, Sandwich, Mass.) - Although its streets saw some minor flooding, some in Sandwich, Mass. may feel like they've dodged a bullet with the first nor'easter of 2014.

Since Friday's noon high tide, water at the beach has noticeably receded. The noon high tide was deeply concerning to emergency officials because of fears of coastal flooding.

However, winds are still very intense and temperatures remain brutally cold on the water.

Power outages were also very low from this nor'easter.
