Worcester DPW Commissioner Says Weekend Snow Storms Are Better

(NECN: Justin Michaels, Worcester, Mass.) - All of these snowstorms this month are taking a toll on snow budgets across New England.

Worcester February snow totals:
February 2013: 33.9 inches
February 2012: 0.5 inches
February average up to this date: 12.1 inches

The city has already spent $3.1 million of its $3.5 million snow removal budget.

The Worcester DPW Commissioner, Bob Moylan, says it’s actually better that these snow storms happen on the weekend.
