AFI to give Mike Nichols Life Achievement award

(NECN/ABC) – Angelina Jolie reportedly is in talks to star in “The Tourist”. The role would have her going undercover for Interpol to entrap a former lover who is suspected of being a global criminal. Shooting is tentatively set to start early next year. Charlize Theron was to have starred in the movie, but opted out. She’s busy with charity work, collaborating with “Give and Take Tees” to design clothes to benefit the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. The foundation funds mobile health and computer clinics to visit rural communities hard hit by AIDS in South Africa. Mike Nichols needs to make room on his trophy shelf. The director of such films as “The Graduate”, “Catch 22” and “Charlie Wilson’s War” is set to receive the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement award next summer. ABC News reporter Carla Wohl has more from Hollywood.
