LA County Coroner rules Michael Jackson death as homicide

(NECN/ABC) – The report on Michael Jackson’s death is finally out. The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled his death a homicide but no charges have yet been filed against his doctor. Newly released court documents say drug after drug after drug killed Michael Jackson. That doctor, Conrad Murray, told investigators he was trying to wean the pop star off the powerful drug propofol as a sleep aid. So, he tried a series of drugs. At 1:30 AM, Valium. At 2 AM, the anti-anxiety drug Lorazepam. At 3AM, Midazolam, a sedative. At 10:40, with Jackson still awake, the police affidavit says Murray finally gave him Propofol – the dose investigators say was fatal. The timing of Jackson’s death is key because Murray’s phone records show he was on the phone for 47 minutes after 11. Who he called – and why – remains a mystery. ABC News reporter John Hendren has the latest.
