Media, police prepare for Jackson burial

(NECN/KABC: Glendale, Calif.) – News media and some curious on-lookers gathered outside the Forest Lawn cemetery, staking claim on the perfect position to attempt to view some of the burial service for the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The funeral service will be closed to Jackson fans and un-invited guests. For the most part the service will be for the family and close friends. Glendale police said that if you someone is on the list, then it will be futile to attempt to crash the funeral, as they will have layers of police surround Forest Lawn. The Jackson family will pay all the costs incurred by the city of Glendale — first put at about $50,000 — but now estimated to be three-times that amount. And it seems the Jackson estate is purchasing not just Michael’s burial plot, but 12 others, making it possible that the entire family may end up there. Video courtesy of KABC.
