President Chavez and Oliver Stone walk red carpet in Venice

(NECN/ABC) – MTV reality star Tila Tequila is accusing San Diego charger linebacker Shawn Merriman of choking and restraining her when she tried to leave his home. In a statement Merriman says she was drunk and he was only trying to keep her safe. Despite her name, Tequila says she doesn’t drink. Police are investigating the incident.. Transformer star Megan Fox tells US Weekly that she struggles with some kind of mental problem that she hasn’t pinpointed yet, perhaps mild schizophrenia or borderline personality She tells the magazine she could end up like Marilyn Monroe fatally overdosed on barbiturates. Rapper Ludacris is helping out in these troubled times. The singer gave away 20 cars to people in need in Atlanta. He says he was moved by their stories and wanted to give back to the community. Oliver Stone walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who stars in his documentary South of the Border.
