Two killed in China after subway construction site collapses

(NECN/CCTV) – Chinese state media said an underground railway station which was under construction in Xi’an in western China caved in, killing two construction workers. China Central Television said the cave-in occurred on Sunday morning at the Sajin Bridge underground railway station in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province. CCTV showed rescue workers lifting a body wrapped in a red blanket out of the ground and onto a stretcher. Two people were also reported as missing.
