Early Education Program Aims to Help Fight Substance Abuse

New England has been hit especially hard by the opioid epidemic, and a local family is hoping its own story of tragedy can help educate others. John and Stephanie Greene of Easton, Massachusetts, lost their 19-year-old son, Evan, to an overdose in 2014. That led them to start The Evan Foundation. The non-profit has created an awareness program called “No First Time” to educate young people on the dangers of experimenting with drugs and engaging in risky behavior.
