The Suffolk University president said you don’t need a grand plan if you’re open to new things
(NECN) - James McCarthy, the new President of Suffolk University, has plenty of career advice to offer, and on this week’s episode of “CEO Corner,” he shared some of it with us.
McCarthy said you don’t always need to have a grand plan if you are open to new opportunities.
“I never planned this at all — in fact, I never planned to have an academic career,” McCarthy said. “I literally fell into my first academic job. … I’ve been in academics ever since.”
