On the Record: Paul Guzzi

(NECN) - It's time to go on the record with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President and CEO Paul Guzzi says Revere, Mass.' Tuesday vote for the Mohegan Sun-Suffolk Downs casino partnership is "the end of the beginning" in that there's still quite a ways for either Revere or Everett to be award the sole eastern Massachusetts casino license.

"When you look at polls, most people favor resort casinos, but not in their own community, but in both Everett and Revere, I think that's different," he says.

Boston's Logan Airport was recently the focus of a Wall Street Journal article on its expanding non-stop international flight schedule.

"I think the governor deserves a lot of credit. He's made a lot of international trips," Guzzi says. "We now have five direct flights internationally and we're not the largest airport in the country and in fact, we're not a so-called 'hub airport,' but this is significant and ... next week, the governor, Tom Glenn, representatives of three of the five airlines will join [the Chamber] to talk about what's happening, to talk about the benefits for this region."

Guzzi also talks about the Chamber's recent collaboration with the Boston Federal Reserve on internships.
