Analysts say economy moving in right direction

(NECN/ABC) – The number of jobs lost last month was not as high as expected and the smallest monthly total since this time last year. The government said the unemployment rate rose nearly half a point in August, to 9-point-7 percent. Experts say it could be because more discouraged workers are actively looking for work again. Some areas analysts will continue to watch include: the health care sector, which is still hiring and the pace of lay offs which has slowed in manufacturing and with temporary workers. ABC’s Viviana Hurtado reports.
