MWRA seeks to end water monitoring rules
(NECN: Boston, Mass.) – The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority says
it can save $3 million annually by halting its monitoring of water
quality and marine life near the outflow of a treated waste water
pipe in Massachusetts Bay. Officials at the agency that oversees the greater Boston area’s
water supply are appealing to state and federal environmental
