White House on Vaccines: Biden ‘Wants to Be Over-Prepared and Over-Supplied'

When asked about why the U.S. ordered a surplus of 100 million doses of the vaccine, White House press secretary Jen Psaki cited effectiveness in different populations and against new coronavirus strains. “One of the reasons why we ordered the additional 100 million doses is because we don’t yet know what vaccine is most effective with children,” Psaki said. “That testing is happening with the FDA as we speak.”
