Flu season begins as students head back to school

(NECN/ABC) – Across the country parents of small children are sending them back to school, with advice to wash their hands often and cough into their sleeves. Colleges already have their students on campus, so they’re desperately trying to stay ahead of the swine flu outbreak. Washington State University has seen two-thousand swine flu cases. The biggest outbreak so far. Health officials believe the thousands of new cases we’ve seen in schools are just the start. The flu season, like the school year, has only begun. ABC’s John Hendren has the latest.
