Rising H1N1 death toll among children reaches disturbing heights

(NECN/ABC) – Parents struggling to keep up with the latest information on swine flu and H1N1 vaccinations are getting severe warnings Monday morning, that this flu could be deadly. In the past week, the H1N1 virus was blamed for the deaths of 19 children. A total of 76 overall, about as many as usually die in a full flu season ending in May. Monday, the American Medical Association comes out with its own report focusing on children and how to handle a massive influx of patients if the virus runs out of control. ABC’s John Hendren has the latest on the flu, the questions, and the worries.
