19 vehicles damaged by rocks thrown onto Mass. highway

(NECN: Raynham, Mass.) – Massachusetts authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding the person responsible for throwing large rocks onto Route 495 in Raynham, Massachusetts. The incident happened Saturday night near the intersection with Route 138. Nineteen vehicles were hit, most of which were on the northbound side of the highway. No injuries were reported, but some of the damage to the vehicles was extensive, including shattered windshields and windows. The investigation suggests the rocks may have been thrown up onto a highway from a railroad bed running under the highway.
