Thomas Hurley was told he had an incorrect answer when he spelled a word incorrectly
(NECN) - A Newtown, Conn. 8th-grader is crying foul after his recent appearance on "Jeopardy!".
Thomas Hurley III says he was cheated after he correctly answered the final question.
Hurley correctly answered the question about the Emancipation Proclamation.
But Hurley spelled "emancipation" incorrectly and was ruled out by host Alex Trebec.
Fans took to the show’s Facebook page to vent their anger.
