Case of Spring Fever on Last Official Day of Winter

Temperature records were smashed in New England on Monday as people hit the golf courses and kids hit the playgrounds

(NECN: Brian Burnell, Hartford, Conn.) - With all these record temperatures, New Englanders are coming down with a case of spring fever.

On Monday, Hartford, Conn. tied a temperature record set just two years ago.

On the last official day of winter, temperatures were in the 70s and even 80s.

Brian Burnell has a look at how people are taking advantage of this warm weather.

Many people were out on the golf course Monday, while kids and puppies were having a great time on the playground.

“This is better than work,” said Woody Woodward, who hopes we are done with the snow. “I’m out all year.”
