Family of Missing NH Journalist Plea for More Information

James Foley was captured in Syria Thanksgiving day

(NECN) - Family members of New Hampshire journalist James Foley, captured in Syria, are continuing to plea for information regarding his disappearance.

Foley was kidnapped Thanksgiving day while covering the ongoing conflict in Syria.

At a news conference last week, his family said they knew very little about what happened to him. Tuesday morning they appeared on the "Today Show."

"After 40 days without information, we felt it was important to make people aware and remind them that Jim's an objective journalist, he's an innocent journalist who's doing his job and to appeal to the people that are holding him to release him safely, release him unharmed," said James Foley's brother, Michael Foley.

Foley was captured by government forces in 2011 while in Libya, but was released after six weeks.
