Friend of Boston Bombing Suspect's Detention Hearing Monday

Lawyers are trying to get Robel Phillipos out of jail, arguing he has nothing to do with the case

(NECN) - Lawyers for one of the three men arrested in the case last week are looking to get their client out of jail.

Robel Phillipos will have a detention hearing Monday at the Moakley Federal Courthouse.

He's charged with lying to investigators about visiting the younger bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev after the bombings.

Lawyers for Phillipos argue he had nothing to do with the bombings and is not a flight risk.

He faces up to eight years in prison if convicted.
