The storm left at least 8.2 million without power on the East Coast

(NECN) - Hurricane Sandy ripped through the East Coast Monday, leaving behind severe flooding, extensive damage, and at least 8.2 million without power.

More than 2.5 million were left without power in New Jersey alone.

"The devastation on the Jersey Shore is some of the worst we've ever seen," Gov. Chris Christie said.
