Rim Fire at Yosemite National Park Almost Halfway Contained

Fire is 4th largest in Calif. history, spans 351 square miles

(NECN) - The rim fire burning in and around California's Yosemite National Park is almost at the halfway point of containment.

As of Sunday it was 45 percent contained, and still growing. It's now the fourth largest destructive wildfire in the state's history.

Officials say the blaze spans 351 square miles, an area larger than San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose combined.

Full containment isn't expected for another few weeks.
