Salem State Database Hit by Virus

Thousands of current and former students and staff members may have had their personal info compromised

(NECN) - Thousands of current and former staff members at Salem State University may have had their personal information compromised.

School officials tell the Boston Globe that the school's database was hit by a virus.

The school says it is not aware that anyone's information has been used maliciously,  but the school decided to notify the affected parties as a precaution.
