TWIB: Mass. Transportation Secretary on Masspike Tolls, High-speed Rail

(This Week In Business) - The Massachusetts economy is continuing its growth spurt. The unemployment rate is down to its lowest level in more than a year. The jobless rate fell to 8.1% percent in October

That's down 0.3% from the month before, and it's the steepest two-month drop in almost 35 years.

Massachusetts employers added about 10,000 jobs. Despite these encouraging numbers, experts predict the economy will sputter due to the nationwide slowdown.

But one key to its rejuvenation may be the transportation sector.

Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Jeff Mullan talks about the top transportation goals for Massachusetts. He weighs in on Masspike tolls, high speed rail and the future of the Longfellow bridge.
