An aerial survey caught the right whale and her calf’s early appearance off of Plymouth
(NECN) - A right whale caught in fishing gear off the Mass. coast in May 2010 made an unexpected and early appearance in Cape Cod Bay.
The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies say the whale and her calf were spotted off of Plymouth.
This is the earliest sighting of a right whale in Cape Cody Bay since the agency began conducting aerial surveys in 1997.
