Brutal NH killing described as random act

(NECN: Scot Yount, Mont Vernon, NH) – The four young men accused in connection with the brutal murder and robbery of a Mont Vernon Nurse and the attempted murder of her 11-year-old daughter are described by friends as wonderful kids. Facebook pictures of the four, Steven Spader, Christopher Gribble, Quinn Glover and William Marks, bear little resemblance to the men with what appear to be freshly shaven heads in court. Spader, who according to court records has served time in jail, lives in this tidy home in Brookline, New Hampshire. His doorstep some 20 miles from the murder scene. Nobody answered the door on Tuesday after the arraignment. Spader dropped out of Hollis Brookline High School about a year ago according to the school’s superintendent. Friends say Spader was a Boy Scout… school officials confirming he had played Daddy Warbucks in the Little Orphan Annie play in eighth grade. Spader’s friends recall that he had a temper but was a good kid. Christopher Gribble lives here a short distance from Spader. He was home schooled according to friends and school administrators. He also was a Boy Scout and described as a wonderful kid. Quinn Glover who is charged in the burglary and William Marks both attended Souhegan High School. In a YouTube video Glover playing in an Amherst coffee house said he was from the band questionable content. Mark’s father James lives in this Amherst mobile home park and told the Manchester Union leader that all four of the accused teens had been at the trailer-home the night before the murders. From the paper: “He (Spader) pushed a little button and a four-inch blade popped out,” Marks said. Marks told him he thought the knife was illegal and advised he should get rid of it since he was “a magnet for police.”
