A fund has been set up to replace a car that was flipped over in Saturday's riots in Keene, New Hampshire, during the city's Pumpkin Festival.
The GoFundMe page, started by Mike Tetreault, had raised $4,030 as of Tuesday evening, surpassing the fund's goal of $3,800.
Tyler Bagdonas, the car's owner, told Tetreault his story.
"Yesterday I was at Pumpkinfest. I didn't know what to expect because I hadn't been up there before," said Bagdonas. "I was walking around with my friend during the later part of the night during the riots when I saw my car was flipped over and totaled for no reason. I go to school full time and work 25 hours a week making $9 dollars [sic] an hour, and for me, my car was my only good asset."
Bagdonas added that his insurance would not cover the damage.
Tetreault wrote that all of the money would go to Bagdonas to replace his 2001 Nissan Maxima with a new vehicle.
