Hybrid storm conditions at the coast

(NECN: Scot Yount, Chatham, Mass.) – Along with the rain, dangerous surf and treacherous rip tides, emergency officials warned people to stay away from the shore on Saturday as the hybrid storm moves through the region. Tropical Storm Danny may not be around any longer, but he left behind plenty of water. Despite the warnings, people did visit the shore to catch a glimpse of the storm’s effects, and take advantage of the winds by flying kites. The Coast Guard said that most boaters adhered to the warnings and haven’t heard any distress calls. Some locals were expecting winds and surf to pick up as the day goes on. NECN’s Scot Yount reports.
