Lightning strikes twice on NH street

(NECN: Lauren Collins, Bedford, N.H.) – Lightning struck a home at 36 Constance Street on the Bedford-Manchester line shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday. A fire then started in the attic and spread to an upstairs room. Crew from Bedford, Manchester and Goffstown all responded. Damage was limited. It was the second time this summer that lightning struck and set fire to a home on Constance Street. “The first part of this summer, just probably less than a quarter mile down the road — same street,” Fire Chief Scott Wiggin said. “It was the loudest crash I’ve ever heard,” neighbor Pat Robison said. “Everybody thought their house was hit.”
