Divers pulled the man from the lake just before 11 a.m.

Authorities have identified a missing man whose body was recovered from a North Belgrade, Maine, lake.

The Maine Warden Service said Tuesday that the body found under the ice of Salmon Lake on Monday has been identified as Derek Palange of Belgrade.

Divers pulled the man from the lake just before 11 a.m. Authorities also found an all-terrain vehicle upside-down in the lake.

Cpl. John MacDonald says preliminary results indicate that Palange died from drowning when his ATV entered the open water on Jan. 9. Palange was reported missing on Jan. 11
