Man Breaks Into Salon, Steals Wine Coolers

Michael Nickerson of Hyannis, Mass. charged with breaking and entering

A Massachusetts man has been charged with breaking and entering after police were able to identify him through surveillance photos and video.

Police say Michael Nickerson, 37, of Hyannis spent nearly 15 minutes in My Salon & Spa on Nov. 2 looking for money, but left only with some wine coolers that he located in the back room.

After authorities were alerted by the business owner, they viewed surveillance and were able to positively identify Nickerson. They interviewed him at a home on Hiramar Rd.

Nickerson was found to have the same distinctive clothing and sneakers. He was also in possession of the wine coolers that were stolen.

He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court.

Nickerson is considered to be a suspect in several other commercial break-ins in the area, including a previous one at the My Salon & Spa on Oct. 23.
