Man collides with fire vehicle responding to his house

(NECN: Boston, Mass.) – A Boston fire vehicle on its way to the scene of a fire collided with a car today in the city’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood. The Boston District Chief’s SUV then smashed into the stairs of a Methodist Church at the corner of Amory and Atherton Streets. Four people were taken to areas hospitals, including the driver of the other car and his child. According to witnesses, that driver said he was trying to make it home because his house was on fire. It is the same fire that firefighters were responding to. There is no word on the extent of injuries. The fire did not cause any serious damage.
