Manatee spotted along Milford, CT shoreline

(NECN/WTNH) – Milford, Connecticut residents are being gripped by manatee mania. The animal was spotted Saturday along the shoreline. This, just days after another manatee was spotted in Rhode Island. No word if its the same one, but the rare sighting was hard to fathom for some. Just to tell you how rare the sighting was. Researchers say there are only one-to-three thousand manatees in the Atlantic Ocean. Normally none are found north of the Georgia coast.
