Police in Medford, Massachusetts, are searching for a suspect involved in the armed robbery of a bank Monday afternoon.
Officials say the suspect entered the rear door of the Citizens Bank of 257 Spring St. at 1:54 p.m.
He pulled out what was believed to be a black revolver, demanded money and then fled the bank to a waiting vehicle, a red 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle, which had New Hampshire license plates, was stolen out of Everett, Massachusetts.
The vehicle was found abandoned less than a mile from the bank on Bradshaw Street near Hunewill Avenue. Police say they also found a shoulder bag with what appeared to be money stolen during the robbery.
The suspect is described as an older white male about 5'6" tall, with a thin build and dark-colored baggy clothing.
