3 Hospitalized as Boston Rattled by Overnight Gun Violence

Three people were hospitalized overnight following two separate shootings

Boston police are investigating a reported shooting that hospitalized two people.

A violent night in Boston resulted in at least three people hospitalized following two shootings overnight.

Police responded to a double shooting early Tuesday in Dorchester, according to authorities. 

Emergency Medical Services said authorities were first alerted of the incident sometime before 4 a.m. in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Devon Street.

Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately available. The extent of the victims' injuries was not immediately clear.

The incident came on a night of violence in the city; an earlier shooting in Mattapan left a man with life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing.
