Building Evacuated After Chemical Release in Boston

Hazmat crews are responding

The Boston Fire Department responded to a hazmat situation at 99 High Street on Friday afternoon. One facilities worker was transported to get checked out.

A building in Boston has been evacuated after a chemical release Friday. 

Originally calling it a spill, Boston Fire says the release of bromine happened at 99 High St. with some water treatment equipment on the 18th floor.

Hazmat crews are responding.

One facility worker who was at the chemical release is being taken to a hospital to be checked out.
