Service Back to Normal After Downed Light Pole Causes Delays on MBTA

Regular service has resumed after a downed light pole caused severe delays on the MBTA's Green Line on Friday afternoon.

The organization confirms the delays took place between Packards Corner and Blandford on the line's B branch.

The following stops were impacted:

  • Blandford Street
  • Boston Univ. East
  • Boston Univ. Central
  • Boston Univ. West
  • Saint Paul Street
  • Pleasant Street
  • Babcock Street
  • Packards Corner

Delays were also reported on the Red Line earlier in the afternoon due to a disabled train.

Friday was the first day that the MBTA's new fare hikes took effect.
