Two Brookline, Massachusetts, firefighters, one accused of beating a man at a restaurant, and another accused of a drunken hit-and-run, will be fired.
According to a statement from the Brookline Board of Selectmen, they voted Wednesday night to fire Jeremy Joseph and Joseph Ward.
Joseph is accused of crashing into a car in Newton, fleeing the scene and crashing into another car, all while drunk.
The firefighter was arraigned for OUI, leaving the scene of a crash causing injury, negligent operation and a marked lanes violation.
Ward is accused of beating a man who took too long to order food from a popular taqueria.
Ward was released on his own recognizance and ordered to stay away from the victim and witnesses. He is due back in court November 16.
